FAN/AXE CAMPAIGN | TIMBERS MLS LAUNCH

A multifaceted brand campaign supporting the Portland Timbers’ MLS launch. Civically-centered creative celebrating powerful iconography, fan dynamism and club history/origin story. Complemented with media communications across OOH, digital, web, social and experiential activations. Campaign helped generate league-leading revenue and fan engagement metrics, including inaugural season sell out, a 10,000+ season seat Wait List and extensive local and national media coverage. The campaign evolved into a legacy event/program held every five years. The assets below document the 2011 launch and select imagery from subsequent seasons.


2021 MLS CUP // ACTIVATION SPRINT

Activation sprint to drive and deepen fan and media engagement around the Timbers hosting their first MLS Cup. Over the course of just seven (7) days, developed and launched: a Voodoo Doughnut collab + community donation integration, tattoo and experiential contests, the “We Show Up” brand video, Alaska/PDX terminal activations, Safeway/Timbers Joey gift card surprise/program, two free digital posters, “light the city green” campaign and (facilitated) the Portugal The Man national anthem appearance.

A holistic look at the Timbers experience through the eyes of the most dynamic and passionate soccer fan base in North America. Developed in conjunction with the 2012-13 annual member renewal campaign, helping drive a league-leading 98% renewal rate – the best in MLS.


ONE GOAL BEYOND | A THORNS FC SYMPHONY

Brand anthem video to support the 2017-18 season ticket holder renewal campaign. Centered around a custom music track using natural sounds of the game to tell the story of the Thorns experience. A 2018 Clio Sports Award Short List honoree.
